Create Your Own Meme Domain – Now Available with Google Registry!

Google Registry has announced that .meme domains can be registered from the Early Access Period (EAP) starting with a one-time fee.

According to the company, on December 5th, .meme domains will be publicly available for a base annual price through the registrar of your choice. To find out where you can register a .meme domain during early access, users can visit get.meme.

“This fee will decrease on a daily schedule until December 5th. On December 5th at 16:00 UTC, .meme domains will be publicly available for the base annual price through the registrar of your choice,” Google noted.

This week, the Google registry shares six partners and four cat sites that have staked their claim:

Know Your Meme, a popular place to keep up with the latest meme trends, revealed its new homes at knowyour.meme and stonks.meme. These sites promise to keep a pulse on the ever-evolving world of Internet culture.

Fashion and lifestyle giant 10PM Curfew also took the .meme trend, infusing style, cultural memes and humorous memes on their websites style.meme and girls.meme, creating a unique combination of fashion and humor.

Other players such as License.Meme (the premier hub for licensing famous memes) and Marketing.meme (providing brands with guidance on meme-based content strategies) have also joined the .meme revolution.

GIF and meme specialist Tenor introduced find.meme and create.meme apps to simplify finding and creating memes and empowering everyone to express themselves through these quirky internet experiences.

Registering a .meme domain in the Google Registry:

– Visit get.meme to find authorized registrars.

– Choose a registrar and create an account.

– Find the .meme domain you want.

– Check the availability; continue if the name is available.

– Complete the registration process by entering contact and payment information.

– Confirm ownership by email with a confirmation link.

– Set up your domain name by configuring DNS records to point to your website or services.
